Elric John Dailey spent his life in Ogdensburg, NY. A legend in his own time, E. J. became famous as a writer, trapper, and outdoorsman. An unselfish and accommodating man, E. J. shared his tremendous knowledge of trapping and wildlife with everyone through his numerous articles in FUR-FISH-GAME, Hunter-Trader-Trapper, and his many books. E. J. is credited with discovering the dirt hole set and using animal glands as lures which he sold through his popular trapper supply house. His effective lure formulas are still widely used today.
